Maui has many award winning restaurants with some of the finest chefs. Working with island fresh ingredients, the fresh clean taste of a Vegan dish is the best. Almost all restaurants offer a "house" salad and a Marinara pasta with vegetables. For those who dine out often this can become tiresome. I hope to make dining more exciting with this guide.

Protein... The most common question I get is "where do vegans get their protein?"
  • One item that is not generally present on most vegan dishes is high protein. Here is a "Protein List" that describes the high protein foods and their protein content. Also there is one hard to achieve nutrient in a vegan diet and that is B12. I take a daily supplement as well as drinking soymilk fortified with B12. [see protien list]
